Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 cannabis risks December 2025 — Volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria are expanding outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators via street information stands and event-based activities. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide straightforward information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. Organisers say, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, noted: “Reliable, early information helps young people make free and responsible choices—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
